Treasurers Report
- 10k in HOA dues, paid out 600+ for lawns, and 350+ for tables in park (will verify via receipts).
- Floated opening a private street account (22 of them) and one main one for majority of HOA savings with a specific institution that would yield interest in the accounts. Will discuss more next board meeting.
- Working on prepping the balance sheet for the annual meeting next month.
- Raised the need to budget for a Swirly Slide replacement.
Picnic
- Hoping Connor will shop for food, have two volunteers for setup or manning food station
- Grill in the shed and may need to borrow a propane tank (Christian will check shed)
- Need grease pans, hot pads, disposables (need to do inventory)
- Two pop up tents in the shed, and tables
- Horses confirmed, not sending written confirmation but issued a verbal one
- Bounce house people confirmed via text
- Portapotty confirmed, face painter confirmed, Huntley Meadows setting up a table for community engagement

Active Items
- Annual Meeting
- Holiday on the 20th and 21st; proposed moving date since we can’t secure a meeting place on that date. Sonata will look into VA Hills Center and Groveton for meeting.
- Need to get invite letter finalized, printed, and mailed no less than 15 days before the meeting; proxy forms included in envelopes that are mailed out. Proxies can be scanned and sent to email or collected via hand, scanned, and uploaded by board members. Need to have count of proxies ready before meeting to be able to reach quorum.
- Need to secure a guest speaker; Supervisor Lusk first choice, Huntley meadows second
- Swirly Slide fate will be on the agenda; plan to get a pulse on the situation
- Agenda: VDOT road project (from standpoint we can’t do much but community can play a role and how)
- Agenda: Planned development updates (Jim went to the meeting at John Marshall this past week)
- Agenda: Speeding on Vantage?
- Open board positions in the upcoming year
- Three open positions: Liz, Eric, and Kerry
- Eric will be Master of the Internet as opposed to serving on the board
- Fall Yard Sale on the 20th September; Angela will reach out to the Martinsons to remind them to put the sign up.
